About Kovrr:

Kovrr’s predictive cyber risk modeling platform delivers global (re)insurers transparent, real-time data- driven insights into their affirmative and non-affirmative single, accumulated and catastrophic cyber risk exposures. The Kovrr platform is designed to help underwriters, exposure managers and catastrophe modelers understand, quantify and manage cyber risk by utilizing AI-powered predictive risk models.

Kovrr offers two solutions:

Risk Selection & Cyber Underwriting

Portfolio Exposure Management

Kovrr’s underwriting platform allows (re)insurers to quantify cyber risk for new and existing policies. Insurance professionals are provided with the necessary data to efficiently underwrite and segment potential customers. The data provided includes contextual actionable underwriting insights and level of vulnerability to cyber attacks by analyzing an insured’s use of commercial software, security controls, and third party services.

Kovrr’s portfolio exposure management platform calculates financial exposure to cyber events. Loss simulations are generated using a catalog of more than 100,000 simulated events which vary from cloud provider outage in a specific territory, to massively distributed global ransomware attacks and other tail events. The events are processed through proprietary damage functions, providing an accurate summary of the financial damage potentially affecting the (re)insurers portfolio. The platform leverages proprietary data sources along with data from third party data providers with the best visibility in their respective cyber domains. The data contains diverse firmographic and technographic details regardless of company size, industry, and geo-location. The result of these simulations are summarized in a yearly loss table (YLT), represented by exceedance probability (EP) curves.
